MB lost some of their respect in the last few years. The product is still good however. Are you condidering other brands as well?

I used MB for a while, work well for me.

I've got the reference series 216's.
They're ok, not great. (Imprint EQ worked wonders on them). Reliable, and I'm powering them 150 wrms on each, bi-amped.
I wish i had got the Q series.

You can probably get the Q's around $400 on Ebay shipped to Canada.

I have a pair of signature Q 216 and I found that they need alot of power...which I don't have. 70W RMS is not enough. I want that slap in the face bass. I put back my old speakers and got my bass back. maybe with more power they would sound right but for now I have my Cerwin-Vega SS-6.2 for the front.

i used to run quart q and p series speakers... yet to hear better speakers. the focal tweeter was a tiny bit smoother and the scan speak revolver tweeter also was a tad bit smoother but for the money, nothing touched them. go to ebay and buy the q stuff. its the best bang for the buck by far.

The current generation of MB Quart have proven to be a good speaker set. I have not brought in above the Premium yet, but at that level they are a great speaker. I would short list Morel if you are in the search for a top notch set of speakers now as well. The Macrom's seemed to have served you well for the last while, did a friend scoop them from you?
