McIntosh mx-406 & Clarion DRZ9255 Owners?

Hi

I am considering buying one of these decks.

Has anybody had any issues (reliability) with either deck?

Thanks.

those decks share a lot of internals, I did not have any playback reliability issues with my Mac even when my car was leaking water on the power supply for a year. I had an issue with the pop out ***** but it was fixed by the factory. Not a perfect deck but very good. I have always like Clarion decks but I know nothing about the DRZ9255 reliability

I have had my DRZ 9255 for close to a year now with no problems. This is not a very long time, but I did a lot of research before I bought it, and reliability did not seem to be an issue. There is a lot of information, personal reviews, and comparisons on DIYMA and Elite car audio forums. Werewolf, on there did a complete analysis and breakdown of the components used in this unit. This is definitely "ONE" of the best HU's available.
