I just bought a mobile authority 2-10"sub with enclosure 400watts. I hooked it up where it sounds okay but once I give it any sort of volume, the speakers start frapping. I get the same amount of base from my 6x9's. Shouldn't 400 watts be able to handle more, even if they are a cheaper speaker?

They tend to sell that stuff at XS Cargo. It is usually low end. They make it look all flashy and stuff, but there is probably a tiny magnet on the back, and a poorly constructed cone.

Double check the polarity on the subs. You never know who has had they're medeling little fingers in there.
