if you're looking for a decent 4 channel amp, there's a PG 450zx in the for sale section for a good price.

.....just trying to help out another "heights" member!

Well, here is the update. Car is finally out of storage...

Sub amp: Coustic 601SE, bridged to 4 ohm mono
Midbass amp: Coustic 401SE, 4 ohm stereo (Or 2 ohm stereo depending on components)
Mid/hi amp: Coustic 481QE bi-amped or bridged on components

Still undecided on the components, waiting for my buddy to get back to me on a deal on the Diamond's..

I guess I've decided to take the loss in leg room and do a pair of 5-6" midbass drivers in the kicks...

I've got a couple dual 4 ohm coil audiobahn 8 inch subs for sale. I was going to use them as midbass in my doors, the magnets are bit too big to fit inside the 5 1/4 inch cutout for the factory speakers so they just arent going to work. I was planning to run the coils in parallel for 2 ohns and give them 200 rms (which the specs say they can take). They like ported or sealed and very small enclosures. If you wanted to, you could run themisobaric and get the enclosure even smaller abnd maybe even vent it and tune it to like 70 Hz or something for some serious midbass output from up under your dash. Just an idea...

Hey Fiero-Silva, are you doing kicks? Or are you doing dash-mounted?

I'm curious to see any pictures you might have... had an 86 SE a while back...and the second I find an 88 GT that I can afford i"m jumping all over it! Very fun cars.

The plan is 6.5"ish in the kicks for midbass.. Don't think I'll get anything larger in there as with the 6.5"s I'm already giving up more space than I want to..

Then 4" or 5.25" in the dash and tweet in the A pillar or dash...

Well, just for the record, I picked up a brand new pair of Diamond Audio M651a components today... 5.25s are going in the kicks for sure... I pulled the carpet out and test fit them today and they will barely even be noticed in there :)

Now, where to put the tweets, in the A-pillars or the kicks with the mids?

Also, for fun, the xovers fit under my stock (easily removed) speaker grill in the dash :p
