i totally agree i was going on the assumption that he was stating that no amp on the market can break it with its power. Not with being wise on the gains

Between working at the plant, Audiowaves and helping move a couple engines for a friend of mine, I was running on a Crispy Chicken from McDonalds and NO sleep.....but I'm better now.

Yea, I meant the Solo-X.....too bad it weighs 100 or so pounds.

Yea, but you gotta consider the kind of SPL these things are supposed to make...and the powerhandling is ENORMOUS.....when Kicker says the Solo X can handle 10KW, I believe them.

Not to mention there's a lot of technology put into them.

MATTX, wanna bet on your comment of no amp being able to blow these subs? gimme something with 3/4 of its rms handling and i'll provide you with a blown sub.
you don't have to go that far , just run a few hundred watts of a square wave with a long cycle and you'll melt the VC </font>
interesting...I've been debating on another forum with an individual who claims that square waves are NOT harmful. I contended they were damaging...

huh, sorry to hijack the thread, but its interesting...

Yeah cause the build up of heat on a voice coil that can't cool itself is always good for a woofer.

thanx for everyones help in advance

or do u recommend another setup??
Right now I'm running two 9500 12's (T951244) with a Thunder801D on each. If you wanted to go all out insane you could run a 1501D per sub...
but a 1501D per pair is more than enough power to give your brain a rattle.
As for the sound of them... I love them!
