Need help with build

Alright, let me start by saying I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to doin car audio, I'll be taking it in to get the work done but want to buy everything before I do as my local shops are insane with their prices. What I'm looking for is sq/spl set up, I want it to sound great but still pound hard. Money really isn't much of an issue so what would you all recommend? Build my system for me! Tell me what your dream system would be, sub amps speakers and all. This will be goin in a Nissan 350z so space is somewhat limited as I want to keep the back seats. 2 10 inch subs, 12's at most. Look forward to your ideas!

A 350z with back seats?

Does it have a factory Bose system?

That car should have 6.5s in the doors. Look for a $300-ish set of 2-way components for the front, a 75-100w x2 amp to run them, a pair of 10s and a 600-1000w amp for them and you're done.

Looking at about 2grand plus labour and a headunit if you choose to go with one.

if money isnt much of an issue it would probably be easier to get the shop to do it... at least then you have a warranty or a place to fall back on if anything happens...

if your set on doing it id say pick a brand that you like (i like alpine) and pick out speakers that fit thatll work in your price range. what kind of music you generally listen to?

BTW i did 1 12 in my car, but lately i have been surprised with some guys that got 2 10's or even 2 8's! if the box/conditions are right, 2 smaller subs can work great.

haha my bad i thought there were small back seats in there in the pics I seen, havent picked up the car yet, will be going after im done work tonight to get it. L1ability I do plan on taking it in for the work to be done, but they have their prices jacked way up for the speakers and stuff, money really isnt an issue, doesnt mean I will waste it, can get alot cheaper online. I'll go with a pair of 10's, what brand do you guys suggest, I dont have a favorite as I have never done a system like this before, I read that the jl w7 are good. What brand speaker and amps would you suggest, couple links would be great to, thanks for the help so far guys!

Forgot to answer the type of music, mostly dubstep/drum and bass, rap. basically music with lots of bass lol

Do a full Pioneer Stage 4 setup.

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Stage4

One of the few companies you can do an entire setup with. However it is pricey- but stellar equipment.

Ok thanks I'll check it out after work, phone doesn't want to load the page properly. Started to look into some subs and that, was thinking 2 12" jl w7, but what amp should I go with? Also what are some of the better 2 way components? Sorry for all the questions I just want to be sure I get something with good sq and still takes my breath away when I crank the volume lol. Thanks again for your help everyone.

I wouldn't be looking at 2 w7's personally.

-Good subs, but way over priced for what they are.
-you are gonna need a beast of a box to properly house the two of them
-you are gonna need huge power to properly power them
-this will most likely lead to a very unbalanced setup

build a beast of a front stage and buy appropriate subs afterwards. the subs really are a very small part of a nice setup.

good two ways?

MLK-165 are hard to beat in any way. could be biased since I own them though. you'd be hard pressed to find a bad review about them though.
speakers are hard to recommend because peoples taste varies so much. you really need to get out there and listen to speakers first hand and find what you like.

Ok thanks again jstoner, I'll take your advice and go listen to some at the local shop here, selection is limited here tho, I live in a small town with only the one shop. Maybe I'll take a road trip to the city. Anybody else have some other options? Like I said originally what would your dream systems be?subs amps speakers everything. Just want a good variety of the better options out there, so many to choose from it gives me a headache lol.

Wow Johnny you just blew my mind with that setup I had no idea you could go that expensive with car stereo, that's insane, bet it's one beast of a system tho. I'll have to look into some of those. I take it audison and focal are some of the best available, for that price they better be haha. I don't really have a budget but I doubt I'll go that big, gonna look at a couple of the items you listed tho like the focal components. Thanks for listed them tho, gives me an idea of how crazy a guy can go lol
