need some help
so i am looking to do a SQ system this spring in my 2007 Lotus Elise
at this time i am looking at
HU - 9255
amps- focal dual monitor x 2
fronts - focal Kit No 7 with X block (passive)
sub focal Ue 8" in a JL audio stealth box for the Elise
now nice system but if i was not to go with focal what would your sugestions be?
i would like to find a 8 ch amp and run a single amp as i has a lack of room i was also looking at finding a denon dct-1 or A1 or Z1 or 8250
i would like to go tube but hard to find a nice tube other then butler but no 6ch and would like to see some more power
kinda stuck on what to do and would like some input and what all of you would like to see in a SQ system

Short list Morel for speakers, personally I find them a little less shrill on the top end vs. the Focal. We all hear different though. Morel is a high end line from Israel. Morel ® Loudspeakers for more info. The Eclipse CD7200ii is a top notch cd player as well. ECLIPSE Car Navigation and Audio Systems | Fujitsu Ten
The Focal amps are darn fine, some will point you towards Audison which are also a very nice amp. I have not seen a 8 channel amp in all my years in car audio. SQ is in the ear of the beholder. The car presents huge issues that a capable installer is going to help you overcome. Primarily being where to install the speakers to get the best tonal response. Are you willing to sacrifice panels in the vehicle in order to install the speakers for ideal tonal response or do you want them in the stock locations?

well the plan was to place the 6-3 inthe doors and the Bilums in the dash or if we could get the 3 tweet in the dash and the 6 in the door i just left TRU's website and looking at the cooper sires with a tube preamp and maybe run the tube line driver there is just so much out there is to hard to make sure that you are getting the best possibale sound now i know a car is the worst inviorment but would be nice to have some thing sounding nice
motorization came up and we talked about having the tweets pop up from the dash for imaging but how far do you go i get so frustrated when it comes to this sh*t but i guess just like buying a car you test drive as many as you can and pick the best for you so the more info i can get the better off i am or worst off depending how you look at it
thank you for your input are you in the GTA

I am not in the GTA (CFB Comox, Vancouver Island, BC) but I will do some legwork for you to find a highly capable installer if you wish. I am a vendor that is a authorized dealer of many lines that you might be interested in. With the market economy these days, every little bit of business helps a small shop like mine.

This is truck country, we just don't have the population here that supports performance cars of any type really. Tru I have not had the pleasure of working with. Morel is a extremely good line. I would concentrate far more on these speakers and proper install of them over the amplifiers.
