i was wondering what u guys think of these subs, im looking to get some for my new car...and if anybody has any>???
|
Not so much with the NEW L7s but I had the opportunity to play quite a bit with the L7s two years ago and I have to say they really turned around my opinion of Kicker
I like the Comp VRs too if you don't have the power the L7s want. |
im looking to get four to replace my 3 mtx 9500's
what u thinK?? |
The L7's are a great sub.
follow the break-in procedure if you are daily driving them.(they will make a gluey smell>"kicker smell") they live longer in a ported box. however, playing below the tuned frequency will destroy the spiders, especially with Alot of power(x2 recommended) if utilizing 1200wrms + each,it will take it but be careful of the dreaded "kicker smoke",that follows the "kicker smell"(gluey stink). |
wow, those are amazing subs if a 12'er can handle 1200 RMS. thats incredible. whats the subs FS and reference effeciency anyway?
|
i have an orion 2500D tha ti would hook up 4 (12 or 10 svc) to get 1 ohm
and run it like that...what u guys think? an dknow anywhere wher ei can get a good price or so u thin ki should keep the mtx's |
Is the L7 an SQ sub? I have always considered the Comp VR to be a very good SQ sub.

i had 2 before... ind love them, but they were abotu 2 years old..now i want the new ones, but i want 4..
and i do not go into competions or anything jsut INSANE everyday... |
I feel the MTX 9500 is a better sounding driver and for daily use would easily take it over the L7. Two 12" 9500's with the 2500D would be very loud. Four would be really really loud.
