she doesn't want to do SPL but is more interested in how it sounds so we decided to start on an SQ set up with what she has right now (which isn't much)
In general I would say that SQ is harder to do then SPL. There are a more variables to consider. So take your time building the van and try to find some help with it if you can. A good set of ears are can help a lot.
So take your time building .think as you do it like power,rca's,deader.then have a beer think about what you came up with befor you start

You would be surprised at the number of people with really good sounding stereos, they probably outnumber the SPL'ers by a longshot. Just because they do not compete does not mean they are not there.

gona hook a 10" mmats to the ultimate t3-1000d and use that to start....should sound good.
