I have a Cerwin Vega Hed 5.25" component set (I know, not the best, but I was young and still poor). I'm not too happy with the sound of the tweeters to much, they either seem too harsh or too quiet, depending in location. I do not have them yet mounted in a car, they are just chilling in my room. I also am now running them off of an MB quart passive x-over which helped them somewhat.

Can someone recommend some more ideas to help me solve my tweeter problem?

Change your tweeters.

C-V tweeters are notorious for being just a teeny bit on the bright side...even the IT series tweeter were too bright...thats why I got rid of 'em. Another thing you could try that might help is to aim them about 30d off axis

Tweek, 30 degrees off axis eh? I'm gonna keep it in mind.

Fat Whacker, I built some small boxes for em, .10 cu ft for now and I'm using them as pc speakers.

CV computer speakers Hope u sheilded them.

Yeah, if the tweets are too bright, they may just need to be attenuated a bit.
