sweet looking stuff, but it appears as if I`ve seen all those exteriors before, staring with the Tru hybrid and tube amps, then the Hammer series. that last one looks awfully like the critical mass 2.5K amp. are these rebadged amps or are they new goodies!?!?
nonetheless, bump for amps i`d want to be buried with!

 

Best guess is this is the original manufacturer. TRU and Critical copied them

 

that looks sweet, ive only ever seen tube amps setup in a home theatre application. whats the difference in the way they work anyways? is the tube used as a resistor or something

 

^ Tube replaces a transistor. In a car amplifier they are almost exclusively used on the pre-amp side only.

Even if they have the most technological guts on the planet, I still have to poo-poo on the offshore amp catalog heatsinks..

 

Close, it was a partnership at the beginning and abyss made the amps for both compagnies, then they seperated and TRU now claims they make their own in the US... or at least assemble parts together in the states.

 

Not Abyss contraversy all over again...
