Does sound good yeah...Its only the budget you gave that I wonder about. A component set and 8" mids under under $300 is possible.. Buying used or refurbed stuff will likely get you better quality than new.

Alright sweet. sounds like a plan. Now we get to the shopping part. Post your recommendations. The price I can play with. Honestly if I need that extra bill or two to make it happen, I'm good.

So anybody got ideas for a 300$ budget and say a 500$ budget?

I really like CDT and Beyma these days. Check out all the CDT comp sets...These's SOOOO many.. Good price....http://www.woofersetc.com/p-3341-ef-...er-system.aspx

But here's a 3 way set, more money of course, but check out the power handling. Good for bridging the 4 channel to 2 and really powering them..

I think there a 3 way set(with 6.5 though) for around $300 also

CDT has 8" mids separate too

i bought these at speaker shop in toronto, they are loud, and clean sounding @ 8 ohm
