Considering that the last 81001 I brought in made 1968 watts rms into 1 ohm, that is a ungodly amount of power, much more than the Alpine is capable of making. Both are great amps but when looking at power output, the MTX wins hands down.

The Type X subs are dual 4ohm and both amps are going to make close to the same power at 2ohm. The MTX though has the ability to make a good deal more power and as underrated as they usually are one of these at 1ohm will run a pair of Type X's nicely if you should decide to purchase a second Type X or change to an even higher power sub in the future.
Only reason I'd pay the extra money for the Alpine over any other well made 1000watter is if space was of absolute premium.

sorry to ask many question here, how about the Signal to Noise Ratio, will it cause any different for SQ?
MTX : Signal-To-Noise Ratio (1 Watt) = 68 dB
Alpine : S/N 80dBA (Ref. 1W into 4Ohm) Signal to Noise (S/N): 110dBA (Reference to Rated Power)
