rainbow in canada
I have read some nice reviews about the Rainbow Profi Kicks on diyma, finally sounds like a component set that combines really snappy midbass without losing much midrange resolution and a smooth, detailed tweeter. Does anyone in Canada (or better yet, Calgary) sell Rainbow audio?

I recently purchased a pair of Profi Vanadium kicks for my doors from Premier. Tell them Richard from Calgary recommended them and they'll offer you an excellent price. Be sure to have them sent USPS to avoid unnecessary surcharges that Fedex, etc. add on.

These are the owner's comments on the Kicks I received from Premier-Audio. Please mention my name if you inquire as I'm sure they like to hear about a very satisfied customer. I purchased the hand-built 6-1/2" Vanadium Kicks for $295 (U.S.) +GST shipped to my door via USPS (don't use Fedex or UPS).
Rainbow subs (U.S.)
10" Vanadium Profi- 399
12" Vanadium Profi - 415
10" Profi - 389
12" Profi - 399
"Rainbow is known for its warmer sound. Everyone knows that paper
also produces a warmer sound and metalics can be brighter. The thing is
Rainbow spends millions on R&D to produce their warmer sound which they are known for. So to answer your question the Aluminum cone is just a hint brighter than the paper, but is able to reproduce a lot cleaner (i.e. more detailed). They are lighter due to the aluminum cone, which also enables it to move faster when called upon, keeping it from fatiguing. It also has a better copper winding on the motor."
"The Profi is a paper cone versus the Vanadium, which uses an aluminum cone. The Vanadium is my favorite sub, as it is what is in my car and has actually been there for a full year, which is rare. Especially considering I swap out equipment every two weeks. Great sound through the entire frequency, blends perfect with any Rainbow components you have, and can take some abuse. Very detailed, clear and musical!"
