RCA's
#1
I have a little noise in my subwoofer, like a fuss noice, can only hear it when the volume is completely off, could this be caused by the RCA's coming from the deck?
And will this hurt my sub? it is very quiet and barley noticable unless your ear is right up to the speaker.
when the RCA cables are unpluged there is no noise.
Thanks
Steve

They do run close to the power wire and they are also Pyramid crap. the ground wire is grounded good and is 8gauge I'll try to ground it better. but I think it might be the RCA's. will that little bit of noise hurt my sub?
thanks

No it won't hurt anything....does the noise lessen when you lower the gain on the amp?
If so, then the gains on the amp are probably a bit high, however "overdriving an amp" is sometimes better than "not enough bass", especially if the sub is inefficient, so no worries.

You are hearing a hiss? or whine? Is the engine running when you hear this or does the noise always seem to be there?? You could just have your amp's gain turn up to much.
