Rear fill or no Rear fill?
They are 6.5. I was watching them when I had my music "cranked." While they weren't distorting, the amount of travel I saw coming from them made me think they were reaching their mechanical limits. I don't know how much power they were actually seeing at that point, and I'm afraid of over doing it . . . also, do mids have a break in period like subs? If so, I think I'll break them in a bit more before lowering the x-over.
Since I'm using the same model amp for my sub and highs, it's easy to set the crossovers to match.
I have some tuning to do on my stereo ie - bigger sub box & higher tuning freq. for one, sound deadening the doors for 2 and then properly setting my X-overs and gains.

That's just nuts . . . I have 400rms on my fronts, and I can't even tolerate it at full power . . . where did you get components that can handle that much?
the "rated" power would be 750rms, but......jl amps usually put down more then they lead on.
Just checked your sig.
So then you have a little more than 75WRMS for each tweeter, midrange and midbass, and 150wrms for the subs then?
In that regard, 750WRMS isn't a crazy amount of power at all for your front stage . . . and with everything fully active, I imagine that it sounds very pretty too!

well the way i look at it, i pay for the gas, insurance and always sit in front............. so thats were the best sound will be. also every rock concert i have been to has front speakers only, no rear speakers........but if you plan on having people in the back seat or listen to videos, then rear speakers are the way to go as there is information recorded for those channals..where as most music has no rear music in the recording, what you hear is the decks ability to split the sound into those channals. but its not true rear music....
lmao its like watching an old movie cassette tape, mono or stereo sound recording. plug that to todays surround sounds and all it does is split the mono or stereo into multi channels 5.1 7.1 10.1 12.1 whatever you have. and thats what our decks are doing. making a stereo sound ( 2 channel ) and making a split to 4 speakers.
best way to say this is if your speakers suck ***** go rear fill. if you have a good set of comp. up front you should have no need for rear fill
