Invest in 300+ sq feet of sound deadening, about 10 gallons of fiberglass resin. 20 yards of fiberglass weave alot of lead weights. 3 bags of tie wraps, then start thinking of what gear to run..

I would highly reccomend some Hybrid audio speakers. They are a bit more picky on the installtion side, but the end result is extremely worth it.

SQi is install and sound. SQc is sound only.

IASCA.com has the rules and I would start there. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
Sq should be about the sound anyways, not about having all your wires zip tied every 2 inches, etc.

The best place to go is Iasca.com. you can download the rules there and also become a member. becoming a member gives you some added bonus as the memberships have now changed. You get both SQ and IDBL CD with your membership. Having the Sq Cd and rule book is 100% crucial to building and tuning your ride. Being that you live so close to where I live... I can help you out if needed. The rules for rookie are very easy and by no means strict. As long as your wiring is good(and no you dont need your wires tied every 2 inches...its 8)and your equipment is secured you will score perfect on install. You dont need a flashy install to win in rookie. Its a great way to get your feet wet. Alot of the rules in wiring are there for safety as are the rules in integrity(everything must be secure...like amps, speakers and batteries).

Hope this helps.
ANd yes the GP is a good car to build...I have alot of experience with that car.
