So....I've come to the conclusion that....

I HAVE tried out a ton of highend gear. What's wrong with that? You all upset because you don't have the opportunity to test and listen to really great gear? You gotta talk **** about someone because they've had the chance to listen to something that you haven't? Are you uncomfortable with the fact that someone might know more about something than you?
Grow up man, I have friends who happen to own a shop with highend gear such as Focal and Audison, so I have the privallige(sp?) to listen to some of the nicer equipment around and I also happen to own some very nice equipment myself. You jealous? Lets see YOUR pics.

When I post about high end equipment, or any equipment for that matter...it's because I've tried it at one point or another I'm not just talking out my *** like you. If I don't know or understand I don't pretend to....I don't know much about crossover design, so when that topic comes up, I don't try to give any advise and I ask questions, no matter how stupid they sound, to try and learn more...I thought that's what this forum was about....learning.
We all share the interest of car audio here, most of us have some sort of car audio system no matter how high-end or low-end, does having the most high-end system around mean a person is smarter than a person with a budget system? I think not, so just because I have some relatively
high-end equipment, that means I should have all the answers?
Like was already said, you're just wasting space with your negativity.

I've never seen slow/n\low make any claims to owning any kind of gear or experience with gear
Does owning expensive gear make one an expert? Do they have instant credibility? On the flipside then, is the guy with entry or mainstream gear automatically a noob?
Interesting.

Dukk, in my oppinion, no.
Not to sound snobby or anything, but last time I checked you don't use the most high-end gear, you know far more than I do and I'll be the first to admit that. I would say(or like to think, anyway) that I have some high-end gear, not all of it, but some. I also know there is much better out there than what I have.
Not saying you don't use some great gear, but what, really, IS "high-end"? I think to most people high-end, is either high dollar equipment or some brand that nobody has ever heard of, and therefore can't argue whether or not it actually IS high-end.
To me, high-end, is a product that has been well thought out and well built.
For example, 2 people are building engines....350 Chevy's for argument's sake. One person, uses proven parts..edelbrock carb and intake...Keith Black heads and bottom end. The other guy uses some pretty high dollar parts....Donovan block, Merlin heads, Barry Grant carb, Holley intake etc etc... The so called "budget engine" has been put together by the book, balanced and blueprinted, torque specs followed to a T....the high dollar motor was slapped together in a weekend. Which is the "high-end" motor? To me the engine that was done with care and had the extra steps taken to make sure it's going to be a strong motor...now, I'm not saying the high dollar motor is not a great motor, but to me the quality comes from the planning and time spent to ensure quality.

So if you spend more for something then it is better?
And exactly what did you "check" on me? You have no idea what gear I use and will be using.
Now I could list all the gear I have owned and do own but what's the point? Some of it was top end, some was bottom end, most IMO is as good as anything out there regardless of cost and that is what I'll be using.
One thing though - whatever gear I could list I do own
The point was that these assumptions are made about a member, slow/n\low, with nobody knowing what they own or who they are. If he listed a bunch of high end crap he one day prays he may be able to maybe afford then I guess people should respect him then?
There you go slow/n\low - go hit the net and list a bunch of dream gear and earn yourself some credibility already eh?
