After seeing the thread on this car http://www.caraudiomag.com/features/0309cae_mx3/ I was completely inspired to do a retro system on my vehicle as well. I have actually been contemplating doing something like this for quite awhile now but that car was just the inspiration I needed. I feel that I already have a good platform to start with as well, a retro styled 1991 honda civic hatchback, and from what I understand these cars were all the rage in sq competition back in the early 90's. So now I need all your help and expertise to help me pick out a four channel amp to drive my front stage, a 2 channel to drive my subs, a pair of components for the front stage and a pair of 10 inch subs for the bass. I want high quality period gear from the late 80's and early 90's much like what the guy is running in his mx-3. All help is much appreciated.

make the gear all 1990's era gear, that would be cool. I would start with a Alpine 7909 or maybe a Pioneer DEX-M88.

I have a PPI ProMos 424, 50 and AM Series 2075, 2025 and matching EQ and X-over. Top of the line in '91. It all for my '91 S-10...same idea. Decks are hard to fond in mint condition!

Orion HCCA's are pretty common if you look around.
Look for the Digital Reference ones. They are from ~93.
