SO Michael Peckhams Buick Regal is no more

I know a number of you that frequent this board are either friends of Mike or have seen his 1993 Regal GS at the many IASCA SQ comps including the 2003 and 2004 world finals where he took first in his class both years running. Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news but on the night of tues June 14th at just after midnight he was struck by a lady not paying attention, the damage was fairly extensive, essentially the entire passenger side rear of the car was demolished the wheel actually broke off with the hub from the car, and due to the fact that he went over the center median from the spin the newly installed bolts that were sticking out of the ground in the interestion tore out the undercarrige of the car. Fortunatley no one was hurt in the collision and the stereo did no sustain any damage to due the excellent level of craftsmenship of those who built it. So the legend is gone but the spirit lives on and Mike is thinking twords the future and will hopefully compete again some day when he can find the time.

I wasn't overly impressed with the sound of that car although it was quite nice.
but the car itself was GORGEOUS. What a beautiful car, in excellent shape, the interior was mint and the motor was strong.
What a shame to see an excellent looking car like that go to waste.
