Sound Deaden kicks?

So long as they are solidly made, you should not require any deadning, however it never hurts
Qforms are notorious for rattling due to the cheap plastics they use, they usually need large amounts of deadning to shut them up. Most custom made kicks use a large amount of mdf and fibreglass, and are fairly heavy.
Professor: Post some pics once you get them installed, I'd love to see how they look in the EL. Gonna wait till the spring to install mine.

You could put in some Cascade Audio de-flex pads...I used them once in my kicks and the midrange really cleaned up, better focus on the imaging as well. I plan to use the de-flex pads in my new kicks as well .

BEFORE PIC's
The tweets sound great.. they just look a little ghetto on top of the dash.
Noticed how I moved my ECU for added room.
Moved a few wires out of the way to clear some space
AFTER PIC'S
These pic's arnt the greatest but you get an idea.
They kicks were molded into the existing side panel covers so they could have a tight fit in the end. The mid is flush mount along with the tweeter (which swivel). They were then texture sprayed and then colour matched.
It may be hard to notice but the A-Pillar tweets are molded out a little bit to get enough clearence to mount them. They also swivel. CDT Audio recommends facing both tweets towards one another facing the windshild a tiny bit, so thats what was done.
Top **** controls the tweets in the A-Pillar.. thus bringing up my sound stage. The bottom one controls my amp for my sub.

Either that or do this. At Home Depot in the concrete section, look for the concrete stuff that's used to anchour in bolts to a wall/floor/etc. Comes in a round plastic tub........ it's a powder. The stuff is usually shown as a sample on the wall somewhere and has a yellow-y tinge to it. Anyways, I use that stuff. I mix it and pour it "into" my kick panels one side at a time. My last set of kicks were well over 30 pound each. Yes, they were deader then dead and there was enough mass to ensure no vibes got transfered to the chassis of the car. The other thing to consider doing is under dash panels with a non-reflective material and padding and stuffing the kicks with fibre fill to make up for the lost volume from the sound deadening.
Hope this helps.............. nice klcks BTW. How do you like the tweeters.......... do you have any time alignment in your setup ????

Professor: Nice kicks man! Where did you re-locate the ECU and ABS computer? under the carpeting on the floor? I'm going to have to remove the ECU to install my kicks, as well as the trunk release latch. Cant wait to set them up though. Judging my all the snow and salt on my floor mats, I'm going to hold off until spring.
