if you're looking to do some budget sound deadning of the floor

head on down to your local wreckers and get some underpadding/deadner from some old cars

the pad that was behind the rear seat on my intrepid was a layer of tar like matierial bonded to a layer of some kind of foam backing , it was very good at asorbing sound ....

I had to remove it cause my subs were louder outside my car than in the passenger compartment with it there

the underpadding on most diesel trucks and SUV's is also usually very good

I can't see a wrecker charging much if anything for it


also i found that rubberised undercoating stuff worked not too bad inside the doors of my old coronet
