Sound Quality Summit Vancouver - September 24th?????
#1
Gentlemen:
A few months ago, several of you expressed an interest in attending a Vancouver version of the Sound Quality Summit. Those of you that expressed a sincere interest in attending included (by user names):
bryan
hobbes26 (and a guest?)
Dukk (and a guest?)
dumbest
Merlin
Audio Vault (and a guest?)
islandphile (1 and "a few buds")
mike bisson
defro 13 (6 or more)
MR2NR (and a guest?)
SUX 2BU (was 70% sure he could attend based on family commitments)
Kilowatt
JRace
beamrider
Pioneer Guy (and a guest?)
August 7 is only three weeks and three days from now (somewhat short notice), and I don't want to have anyone left out.
Also, there's an IASCA judges training the following day at Tim's shop. So conceivably, it could be a two-day weekend if you're interested.
I need a definate head count for attendence. If you're not definate, please give a percent likelihood of attending (e.g., from 1% - 99%). The expenses for this trip are extraordinary, and before I go and make non-refundable accomodations I need to know who might come. I need a minimum of 18 to make it a success.
Does the August 7 date work, or shall we see about pushing it back further a few weeks? Suggestions are welcomed and greatly appreciated.
The cost will be $250 USD. I have a DEFINITE SPONSOR for this seminar. There WILL be free equipment for the first several that sign up.
So please, take a moment and evaluate if August 7th works for you, and if it doesn't, please suggest a second choice for date.
Thanx,
Scott

Oh yeah, and the referral program is alive and well. Refer a frined and get a $50 USD credit on your own registration. So, get five to register and sign up and go for free (free $250 USD registration). You could conceivably put a group together and share the referral credit amongst the group.

John- Sweetness! Thanx mate for your kindness and making the trip to DTW a quick one!
Everyone else- It seems painfully apparent that the August 7 date is not going to work out as planned. Nine or ten attendees are represented above alone as not being able to attend. This is of a possible "best case scenario" 25-27 attendees. I'd like to hear some possible alternatives for dates. How does VERY late September/early October sound, a few weeks before the unified USAC/IASCA Finals? I have not spoken to Tim about what his thoughts are, but perhaps we can at least the foster the discussion for an alternate date.
