I'm looking for a unit to improve my SQ, and to get me the extra 2 points for my Iasca score for having an "other device" Does anyone have any experience with the Mtube 8 unit from soundstream?

The unit is a tube driven line driver with a crossover and an adjustable absolute phase shift, and a feedback level control.

This will allow you to control the sound in unique ways by adding or removing distortion. This is very similar to some pro-microphone preamps
Opinion
It could solve some unsolvable problems and should add a nice sound too, not accurate but nice

Arent you going to use your EQ. That would give you the 'other devices" points that you need???
