I think it will be a good idea (especially for newbies - like myself) to see what other seasoned SQ guys have installed in their cars so that they can get a feel for various options.

Moderators, I think it would be a good idea to make this a sticky and moderate it so that useless (with respect) posts are deleted and only system specific info is saved. This will save people reading through ten thousand useless replies.

The template for answers (use the reply with quote function to save re-writing the text) within this thread (in order to keep it uniform) can be this:

System Cost:
Source Unit(s):
Processor(s):
Front Speaker(s):
Center Speaker(s):
Rear Speaker(s):
Sub(s):
Amplifier(s):
Other:
Cable:
Sound Deadening:

Feel free to take out any that are not applicable (for example center channel).

It has been a difficult journey for me personally, however I now feel I am almost there.

System Cost: Roughly US$5K
Source Unit(s): Pioneer Premier DEX-P9
Processor(s): Pioneer Premier DEQ-P9
Front Speaker(s): Focal Utopia 165W with the NeoCD3.0 3" Ribbon Tweeters
Sub(s): Focal Utopia 27WX (still need to buy one more)
Amplifier(s): Zapco C2K-2.5X for the fronts and Zapco C2K-2.0X for the subs
Navigation System: Pioneer AVIC-88DVD with the Pioneer AVD-6210 6.5 inch LCD monitor
Cable: None yet
Sound Deadening: Second Skin Audio, Cascade Audio

System has not been installed yet.

It has been a difficult journey for me personally, however I now feel I am almost there. It has taken roughly over 2 years to source the hardware together mainly because I bought stuff, got rid of it and bought other stuff till I settled on the above.

Just need to find a very competent (as in having installed a winning SQ system) and affordable installer to put it together.
