Have you ever built a 40Hz vented enclosure and played variety's of different music through it to see how it responds .........
The reason why I suggested lower is because the idmax is capible to play the freq above and below the suggested tuning frequency with good output, as compared to many other subs. |
I gave you my insight out of personal experience let your ears be the judge and jury. Take a listen to some vented enclosures and see what works for you.

Yes my friend, it sounds good but lacks output on the low end.

Well I could possibly get an alternator that'll put out 130amps. Would that be enough? And if I don't what do I need ? Trunk battery ?
|
ok I'll find my self a 130amp alt. until then anything I can do? Would keeping my stock alt plus the big 3 and a battery work ? Or would that battery draw alot of power aswell?
|
Use your current alt, do the big three and keep your volume moderate for now.

I have an ascendant audio avalanche 12", digs deep, sounds great and gets loud. My favourite sub thus far.
