I need some help choosing the rest of my system for this year. The car is a Pontiac Fiero therefore space is minimal.

For headunits I will be running a Pioneer AVH-P6500DVD as well as a DEH-P500MP. The 6500 will be used for strictly video related media, the 550 will be used for music ect.

I will also be buying a DEQ-9200 shortly unless someone has an other suggestion for a similar product??

I'm completly undecided for speakers now...

I would like to run 2 2 or 3 way component sets up front. Price limit is 600$ or less each..
I'm looking at Polk Momo MM6 components. Any other suggestions??

As for rear fill I would like to run a single set of components. I've been looking at Polk Momo MMC525... Any other suggestions around 300$ or so??

As for subs, space is very limited. The most I can do is 2 10"s. They have to be fairly shallow subs, like 7" or shallower and they will be in a box that is 1 cube each or less...price wise is around 600$ each... any ideas????

As for music. I listen to almost everything, from Punk, Pop, Rock, Rap, Clasical, Country.... Pretty much everything. And I like it to be loud and VERY clear. I can't stand even minimal distorsion!!

So yah thanks for your tips

Throw away the rear speakers, you don't need them, unless you really want them. There are a lot of really good sounding components speakers to choose from, like Macrom, Focal, MB Quart, Diamond, Eclipse, and a whole pile of others. You hear differently than all of us, you need to go out and audition these speakers for yourself. Remember that they will sound totally different within the confines of a small car like yours. For 10" or 12" sub, Planet Audio makes an incredible shallow mount sub, the 12" NEO sub is less than 4 1/8" for mounting depth and will work in either small sealed or slightly larger ported enclosures. These subs are a sleeper, too bad that more people do not know about them.
With the dollars that you save by not using rear speakers, channel them into a slightly better amp or Audio Control processor. I personally do not really care for the sq of Pioneer at all, but if it is what you already have then we'll work with it to the best of it's abilities.

I'm curious as to why you think you need an eq? And do you already have the Pioneer equipment?

I've already got the two Pioneer decks so I figgured why not use both.....

I want to have an EQ because I'm a control freak and I like to have have an indash processer to be able to control everything without having to reach very far.....Any suggestions?

As for the Planet Audio Neo subs they look very good, and with that depth I could for sure fit 2 10"s. Is there any Planet Audio dealers in Manitoba?

A few of my other choices for components were Focal and Diamond, however what are your opinions on Polk Momo? They are fairly reputable in the home theater department, how about their car audio?

I'll pass on that showcase Bob, Macrom, Focal, MB Quart or Diamond would be an excellent bet. If you have trouble finding gear, send me a PM, don't mind all the name changing that you are seeing on the posts, were still the same people.

I was told on another forum that I can attach the two decks together via their CD changer wires.

By doing this, I can use the 550 as the "master unit" and the 6500 as the "salve" or the other way around. Both decks would use the RCA outputs and controls of the master unit instead or running 2 systems like you said..

Does that sound right???
