Tang Band 50-1426SA 2" Textile Dome Midrange

Wondering what textile dome midranges sound like in cars?

I want to pair these with my mpyres and another tweeter for a 3 way system. I was planning to use these where my current tweeters sit in the factory tweeter location.

They apparently extend down to 500HZ, where my mpyres could take over.

What are your thoughts?

I may have to run these on a passive crossover with my tweeters.

general rule...good ones are really good...and expensive(Morel, AVI)....most are not very good, but you never know until you listen to them. I haven't heard the TB, so i can't comment. Suffice it to say, that at 40.00 each, if they sound good, then it's a deal! To give you an idea. the Morel 2", similar to these is about 190.00 each.

Look into the Hybrid audio Legatia 3's... To me, the only other speakers I would look at would be Scan-Speak, or Dynaudio..

I have not heard these TBs but my brother ran a set of inexpensive TB tweeters in his truck one year and not only did he do well, he received lots of positive comments on their sound. For the money, probably worth trying out.

Dukk I heard and handled the TB line at Speaker City for a while.., some of the drivers we brought in were nice DEPENDING on application, most were rather "nasal" sounding.
We did manufacture some home speakers using their components, they didn't sell well, and we used many drivers in Car audio as umm.. "inexpensive" replacement drivers or to complete a sale.
