^ Sounds like you are challenging the build and overall quality of the Brax product. How about you relate your experience with the Brax products.

I suspect MANY products are expensive and over-rated especially in countries other than the country of origin (or where the import tarrifs kill certain brands). If I was offered my pick of a free Brax, McIntosh, Sinfoni, Audison, Zapco, Focal, etc. I would try to do a listening test first (but I would be happy with any of them, they are all well made). I still miss the midbass authority the Mac gave my system...

Now if it was my dollars on the line I would want to do a much more selective process prior to purchase... but I will tell you this; the difference in performance is not always profound, so if cost IS A BIG deal save the $ if the ultimate in SQ is your thang listen and spend or save as your research allows (more expensive is not always better SQ)

I say buy the least expensive amp that pushes your happy button

hahaha...no.

I am trying to figure out his source of why his opinion is that mcintosh is over rated.

To have an opinion you need some sort of facts, I am wondering what they are.

When i first looked at a Brax amp i was very impressed by the internals of it it did not look like a rush amp made product

And Germans do take pride & engineering of there products not just in car audio but other stuff they make

Dude, I would agree that Brax is not an internet brand of the month say like " ED,or RE, blah blah" but you cant pretend to say they have been around a long time and are a house hold name in car audio. WHO has or will own a brax? or further more would want to?

Dude, you know nothing about me. I remember one of the very first cars in Canada with Brax product in it. I've been around for a while. I've owned and auditioned a ton of high end gear.

I say that Brax is an "internet brand of the month" because it's so expensive and rare that 99% of the people that hype it on the internet have zero experience with it. Brax is very nice, and if someone offered a few of their amps to me on the cheap I'd probably buy them. I'd even list it up as an option for high end amps. However, calling Mcintosh overrated and Brax the best when you have ZERO experience with either brand is simply silly.

Thats sort of what i was trying to get at.

But lets face it, the aussbassfreak guy just goes around saying mindless bable. "This is tops and that is ace but in my opnion this amp is not as good as old school because old school amps according to my looking at pictures show they warent rushed amps."

I'm such an *** sometimes.
