Is there a high bang for buck head unit?

now my qeusion would be why spend so much on a 4 way ative deck when you can get a 3 way for 400

when chance are most ppl will not be running a 4 way system.( i wish i could afford that thing tho.)

They buy them so they can run a 3 way active front stage and a sub....I have an outboard analogue Xover that does the same thing but it is kinda cool to be able to tweak the settings thru your deck.....

the strenght of the pioneer peice is all the little things done right.. like 4 da converters.. a copper chassis, true ipod intergration with zero loss on recording, defeatable lights on deck for truer sq, solid mount c.d. transport for no movement during playback, cooks diner and will message you when needed...lol....

I am not sure if you are kidding or not but it's copper plated and that's a marketing gimmick anyways it doesn't do anything.

4 da converters doesn't sound like a positive or a negative to me, simply a design choice.

Zero loss on recording has everything to do with the encoding and nothing to do with the player.

Have you ever measure a difference with lights on or off? If the lights fug up the sound it sounds like a bad design to start out with.

To be fair, even in big, well designed HT receivers, switching off other circuitry reduces the noise floor. With my HT receiver, when i've got it set to around 0db (~85db reference level IIRC, way loud) there's a slight audible hiss if no film or music is playing, but when I switch it to its pure direct mode the hiss goes away. It's pretty irellevant in terms of when there's actual music on, but it does give it a bit blacker background at high volumes.

well every little thing that we do to make something better, just might add up to one thing being big enough to here.. its ten small not noticable differences that make one noticable inprovement... just a thought.. go to there web site and check out what makes this deck special.. alot is salesmanship, but alot is good and in an age where all the major players are doing nothing for increased sq, its nice to see someone try something...
