How do you test that. Set your multi-meter on ohms and touch to each pin of the rca?

Dave, I've been away for a couple days.

I just wanted to reply to your post above about the possibility of clipping with a 4V deck and Four.1i.

I absolutely can clip the heck out of the signal with the input gains cranked.

What I meant was that the levels were maximized so that they didn't clip. I have the Four.1i sitting in a box doing nothing. If you want to play around with it, I'll ship it to you for free. Just let me know quick, because I'm leaving for Europe on business Tues.

Audio Control Four.1i

4 fixed frequency EQs + 1 parametric EQ with a selectable center frequency between 40hz and 80hz.

Thus 4.1 similar to the terminoligy used in Home theater. The ".1" is for the sub.

It's a compromise, you gain some control at the cost of adding more electronics in the signal path.(Degrades sound quality, but that is deppendant on your system and your ears)

Thanks for the info everyone, very interesting..

Does anyone know if the IDQ31s will typically boost the signal in any way?

Lemonlime, the IDQ31 does have a input gain.. This can boost the level to a maximum of 8v's i believe (Depending on input voltage).
