Tru Tech C7.4t Copper Tube Hybrid..... what to do !?!??!

So, I have this problem. I have infront of me a hand-built Tru Tech C7.4t copper tube hybrid amplifier. It's a monster, incredibly hard to find and pricey = I want to try her out and see what it can do as I rarely play at this level.

Ok, but that leads to a bigger issue. To work it into my install will be a lot of painful labour.......... close to impossible. But maybe do-able. It will also up the cost of the install as I will then NEED to find better components and generally upgrade the rest of the stuff to get it on par, outside of the head unit and wiring. Gah.......

Anyways, anyone played with one of these C7.4t and have any thoughts ?!!? Worth the pain and suffering to pretty much jam it in ?!??!?!? Or should I dump it.............. and continue on using inferior stuff.

lol, i think you should at least try it without a full install and let your ears be the judge. If you're to hide that amp in your new install it would be a waste.

here's a article about the amp C-7 TruTechnology Amplifier - Amplifier Reviews - Car Audio and Electronics (minus the tube upgrade)

Try it out in your house and if it performs how you think it will, then it might be worth the effort of putting it in a car.

^ I would go along with that, some of the tru tech amps had electromechanical QC issues (which bothered the hell out of me because they are friggin jewelry in appearance and cost)

I was thinking more of a straight up trade for an egg salad sandwich.

I'll likely .............. I don't know.......... build the car and try it out without installing it permanently. In the house, nothing really worthy of listen to it on.......... BOSE systems (?!?!??!)........... bah. Honestly, none of my car audio is really worthy either. It's such huge over-kill. Kind of a waste. She belongs in a no-expenses-spared project............ and I'm a cheap bastard.

Haven't decided either............. front stage or to run some subs off of

(k, just joking............. doh!!)
