Tube amps on sub bass

Most of them sounded great spatially and tonally, but didn't have the edge and attack of a solid state amp.
I haven't listened to the Blade tubes.. but since you want to play the quoting game: I said NONE OF THE TUBE AMPS I HAVE HEARD...
And as for how I could possibly hear how tight an amp was.. I can only say that it's a shame that you can't. The difference is obvious.

i wish i can auditioned the Millbert, right now im still hunting that amp, still no luck.
i got butler td 475 right now, they are a nice amp for tweeters and midrange, soft and have nice focal. but when i tried it for midbass, not enough kick. so i dont think it will work well on sub.

Aw dukk, you know that test is rigged...
gyguy.. Yoy show up here for 24 hours and are already making friends..
Ask anyone here.. They know damned well that I am not 'high on myself'... I have lots of experience in this industry, and have more than likely played with and auditioned more products from more companies that anyone else here. My opinion is valued as a member of this forum because of that.
As for the Tube amps, I am listening to my TD1500 right now, and it still sounds good, but not as tight in the bottom end as the solid state amps that I keep around for reference purposes.
AS for the people that can or can't discern the difference between two amplifiers, that topic has been beaten to death on more than one forum. Everyone agrees that given the guidelines proposed by Richard Clark's Amplifier Challenge, you can't tell them apart.
If you pull two amps out of their shipping cartons and hook them up with only level matching and no frequency compensation, the differences are often quite clear.

Well Dave, we both know where we stand on that issue so no reason to rehash it again
