just installed my 6.5 inch type x seperates on 75 rms per side. i think they sound great for the price ( 250.00 ) canadain thx to craigslist bnib. they have a nice mellow kinda sound and great midbass considering i have them in kick panels. its enough to slightly shake my rearview. anyway i highly reccomend them for a low cost front stage

 

Ill second this, although my tweeters arent type X.
Im running 100 watts rms to each mid and crossing them down around 63hz with 24 db slopes and theyre LOVING it.

 

Thats a pretty smokin deal for those speakers.......

 

also got my type x 12 installed 2 cubes tuned to 30hz. sounds great together

 

I'll be grabbing these for about $300 in a few weeks. I really liked the sound in store, I hope they sound good in my car too

All the type x stuff sounds great. I have the 5 1/4's, 2 x 6 1/2's, a 10, and a 12 all sealed. Spectacular SQ. The 4 inchers sound damn good too. Very bright. I wouldn't use the 6 1/2's for front stage though as they are more midbass than bright.
