I remember a number of years ago reading about a guy from Ohio who had a Caddy with a 12 or 15" in the floor in the front near the hump/firewall intersection on the passenger side.He cut a hole in the floor, insterted a metal basket, fiberglassed it,and the then sub.He also had a PC based equalizer with touchscreen...

That still stands as the craziest SQ setup I've ever seen...

Dave, that T-bird was Dale Fontenots. Mike Peterson of Seattle bought the car and then did his own thing with the install and still competes with it. He sold his Regal to Tim B. to get the T-bird.

I believe the whole point of Earls car WAS to go too far. He didn't like a lot of IASCAs rules and decided to go his own way with his own car.

Larry Chijner owned the caddy. He had a single 10 or 12" infinity subs on the floor passenger side. He won Rookie of the year the same year and Infinity gave him the flagship Kappa's.

I just saw the pics of this car and I have to say, this is when you have gone too far. I guess he does not drive this car. The install and work that went into it is awesome but if it's not usable what's the point. I might as well pack my home audio system in a u-haul pull along and listen to it.

^ Veenman, do you think he actually cared that much? there are a few people that build cars like that for one purpose, and it isnt to drive them.

Funny how Earl lost to 2 guys from winnipeg with "mild" systems.
