Nice to see some SQ action out West. Too soon for me to play unfortunately
A heads up - Visions is notoriously bad at promoting their shows for some reason so it is a good idea to get word out on anything they book as soon as you can. Actually - that goes for all the shops out here really Seems I always hear about a show the week after it occurs

Remember with USACi - Heat shrink (elect tape is only partial credit) and loom your wires, anchor every 6-8 inches. Photograph everything during your build. This year they are using portions of the Focal test disk (MECA's disk last year) for SQ evaluation.

Yes, they did have the SQ. Just not many people where entered into the event. Did you see that 7 series bmw, he was there for SQ. At the end, they gave out trophies for the top 3 for the usac. it was bmw, acura el, civic hb.. i think.

I was amazed. I did way better in SQ than I hoped. Scored 140 points.
1st-150pts
2nd-148pts
3rd-146pts
You get 5pts for a USACi decal and another 5pts for being a USACi member. So all in all I did okay. My bass was a little "muddy" and my highs were "smeared". Single 12"L7 (ported) and 4" Type S Coaxials up front in factory location. You really have to give Alpine props on building an awesome HU. The time correction feature allowed me to make up for sub par speaker location.
Nice to see a pickup (Nissan ext cab) finish 2nd in SQ. Not often you see a truck do well in SQ or SPL.
P.S. I am not going to comment on my dissapointing DBDrag and dismal SPL scores. I chalk it up to lack of preparedness and not testing ahead of time.
