go to elite or carsound and do searches. listen to those who have had the products rather than just opinions. although MTX's product seems excellent and the marketing is aggressive, i'd have to hear it to believe it...

In regards to my earlier post about boxes: I've been thinking that if we made 4 different boxes, and just tested each sub in the same box, we'd get a better comparison of how they do in the same airspace, any oppinions?

Can throw a max in the same box as W . You can but we should go according to spec rec. as they are different and really quiet different grade woofers in design , output , excusrions .power handling etc ..

dun u thing beastmaster ?

They are, yes, but their airspace requirements are pretty simlilar, and building the box to spec for each sub would show very little difference, but say using a 1.5 cu ft sealed box, and then a 2.5 cu ft sealed box for each sub would show up the differences in the response in standard box sizes, and then using say a 1.75 cu ft ported box, and a 2.5 cu ft SPL box would show any differences there. Their airspace requirements are very, very similar, so I think it'd be a great way to test them.

I just think that it'd be a more telling test of the woofers, it'd show how each responds in the same circumstances.

AS I can see not too many people are responding with affirmative action to this post Sass .

You have got the Max coming correct ?
THe 12W7 is here .

Worst case scenario are you knoledgabel enough to build four boxes between the two of us If noone else is in ? We will only need two additional boxes that will rpobably b uselss to us as mine is in spec JL sealed and you will want one similar to this for your max so that's about $ 100 ,- worth of MDF for the other boxes between the two of us If noone else is up for this .

What are you using for power now ?

I'm getting a tru tech amp to power it, only going to feed it around 300-400 RMS (rated at 300, but seriously under rated) but it'll be IB, no box.

If I were in the GTA I'd be willing to pull one of my 9500's and put it head to head with the IDMAX and the W7...
