Wanted SQ 4" Mid-Range speakers
#1
Hello,
I'm looking for some High end SQ mid-ranges (must be 4"). i haven't seen anything in the commercial car audio world that i really like... i have been offered eurosport mids, as well as Eton mids but i've had no experience with either.
I read about Accuton, Seas, dynaudio etc and wonder if anyone has had experience with them.
Accutons come accross as amazing speakers but alot of speakers complain about their off-axis response... i will have a pretty good aim with the speakers and that's part of the reason i need 4" for.
i need a 4" that will cover all the vocal range...
any recomendations out there?

This is a good resource for getting driver info.
I was about to consider Eton, or Seas, but I decided to cheap out and wait a bit.
Unfortunately, I saw no 4" Accuton driver, only a 5".
From what I understand, you're ok with 8 ohm drivers, as you said you're looking out of the commercial car audio marked.
I myself had to go with a 5¼" driver for vocal range (200-2.4k) because of the lack of available 4" drivers. There shouldn't really be a problem, providing there isn't excessive xmax with the driver, which isn't needed with vocal drivers.
