Ok well first of all, this is my FIRST complete system, so I was wondering what you guys think and what you would change if anything...

Head Unit: DEH-P7600MP Front Component Set: Pioneer Premier TS-605 Rear Compentent Set: Pioneer Premier TS-C503 Component Amp: Memphis 16-ST3004 Subs: (2) 12" Audiobahn Flame Q (1) Custom 15" BA Inhuman Sub Amps: Boss 1400D Amp running both Audiobahn Subs Memphis 16-ST1500D running the 15", well I believe that is it, I dont have anything installed at this point in time, I am just thinking about any changes I still wanna make and I need to get new wire kits for everything, and possibly caps, just so I dont have to go through the hassel of installing a second bat.

Congrats, always feels good to get your first system up and running.

Looks like you've got everything you are going to need. You've got some nice equipment there. It looks like you are going to have a very power hungry system, what kind of car is this going into?

If it was me, I would probably keep the memphis 1500d and the inhuman 15, and sell off the Boss amp, and audiobahn subs. The Memphis and inhuman are much higher quality pieces than the others. The BOSS amp and memphis subs will likely have a negative impact on the sound. The inhuman and the memphis 1500d will produce way more bass than is necessary in an SQ vehicle. With the money you make, you can put some cash into some kick-panels or accessories you'll need.

Good luck

If it was my equipment, I'd change...

- P7600 for an Alpine 9815. Simply a better deck, costs more but you get more. Very flexible crossover system, plenty of points to choose from , adjustable slope.... This coming from someone who has run Pioneer for 10 years. P99 was my last Pioneer deck before I went Alpine.

- ditch the Boss amp, go with a any of the big names and you'll have better sound and better reliability.

All in all its a nice system, Pioneer makes great equipment, I've used their mids & subs before with great success.

PS, its never good enough. No matter what you have you'll always be temmpted to put something "better". Best advice I can give is to buy the best gear for the money you have. Its better to wait three months for a good sub amp than to spend what you have in your pocket today just to have "something".

I beg to differ. The Memphis is a much higher quality piece then the others.

Pick 1 size woofer, and stick with it. Dont mix woofer sizes.

it is going in a 1990 safari van,I am taking out the third row seats and put my amps and box(s) there, and I wanted to try the 12's for the punch, and the 15 for the boom, so I could get a full effect, because I was told that the different sizes produce different effects and since I have the room I thought it wounldnt hurt...

p.s. about ditching the pioneer for the alpine, I am not a big fan of alpine, I just dont like the looks and the pre outs are uber week compared to what they say they are...

Like i said...different size subs in the same vehicle = bad idea. I agree with dereck, go with a pair of 12's, in a decent box.

I think mixing different size subwoofers sounds pretty good in theory, but it never works out well in practice.. I've never run different size subs at the same time, but if it was the best way to go.. then I'm sure most competitors would also go this route (which they don't)..

If you are looking for some punch, consider using some midbass drivers up front. 6.5" or 8" midbass drivers (when set up properly) can give you some good 'kick you in the pants' midbass.

As for the inhuman, Dereck is right, it is not much of an SQ subwoofer, it is really designed for SPL despite claims of 'excelling in any application'. If you are looking to go loud, it should work out well, but if you want a true SQ system, I would probably trade it up for something different. Check out the Image Dynamics IDMAX 12.. Your Memphis amp should work well with it, it’s a great sub, very clean sounding, and it handles tons of power.

What are you looking for?

If you want huge bass, and let everyone know your the man. They put 2 15's in a vented box. Ditch the inhuman(cause they sound like pooh). Go with a decent credible brand of amp, with significant amount of power, 800w or so.The components are fine, but a reasonable coax in the rear is sufficient. Head unit is good, personally like kenwood(before they atempted to act like they knew something about cosmetics) but nothing wrong with what you like.

Multiple woofer sizes are not nessesary.
