What would you want in the perfect SQ line driver?

As far as a single class A output isn't not as crazy as you might think, there's very little "power" output required for the line driver as input impedances with amps are in the 20k-50k range typically.
As for the MVC type product, that may come after this one. And 24 channel SQ line driver? Not so sure about that one, thanks for the ideas though, keep 'em coming.
For remote level control it requires some sort of VCA(voltage controlled amplifier) or dedicated audio volume chip, and right now the best one is probably the PGA2310/20 I'm using it in a balanced headphone amplifier and while the performance is very good it requires a microcontroller which adds a digital component to the power supply and has the potential to add noise etc. I will be employing the KISS principal in this line driver and only included what is absolutely necessary.

I assume 10 output channels? how many inputs? gain control on the inputs or outputs? Can you give me a rough system description of how this would be used? I'd be happy to "include more" so that the line driver covers anyone who would use it. Same idea as my SPL version, 24 mono outputs but not all of them have to be used.
I mainly see this as useful for post processor applications.. Bitone, H701, H660/H650, JBL MS8 once it's out, etc. If it was enough channels you could boost the input as well for applications using RCA's.

Hide away and forget. Anything that needs to be tuned would be done via a laptop computer link. Adjustability for tuning is critical. User friendly is key. Lotsa channels. I'd like to see at least something to do 3-way front stage and sub at a minimum.
