ive owned my fair share of subs,
the latest was teh mtx 9500 (3 of them)
and before that kicker 12L7 (2 of them)
imm lookin to buy 2 or 3 new subs,
leaning towards getting some kickers again, but id like to try JL w13's
what do u guys think, or reccomend

For low bass that had super fast attack and great Sq there was a 15" Rockford ~ 1990 that was a special driver
About that same time there was pair of ADS 12" subs in a box that was just super and was my fave of the day it was seamless, with great timbre but it could go up to 200 Hz if needed
I bought a Lo-Mo from Glen Monitor, it was darn good for not a lot of money (cheep Kicker drivers in a sealed box about 4" deep)with a black laquered box
