i just bought one...
one thing that really bugs me is the fact that the subwoofer keeps getting crossed over very high...i'm guessing around 80-100hz. i'll have to try the imprint thing a few more times when the weather isn't so cold outside. |
btw, another thing that sorta bugs me is the fact that the imprint box is a very slow serial RS-232 device (if you hadn't noticed, the KTX-100EQ has a built in serial to usb convertor).
most of the time is spent waiting for the device to send/receive data from the headunit. |

What bugs me is the imprint set my front components to play way to low. At low volumes it sounds good, but its trying to put 40hz into my mid-bass speakers. This will max out the amp way before it gets loud. And I don't have an extenal HPF. I was thinking of putting bass blocker caps on them, then re-doing the imprint. ?? Any other ideas? |
were are u guys getting these prices from. i bought my tuning kit for 35.00 dollars from the local visions here. cant see why anyone would pay 100 dollars to have a shop set it up. there is no setup. u just put the mic in the locations shown on the screen and thats it. my mom could do it. on a side note i never use the settings that the tuning kit made. i find that it only sounds good at low volume then distorts like crazy when turned up
