Yaa so i installed my pioneer deh-p670mp, i must say installing this one was simple vs installing it in my sunfire, i got a straigh cable harness, no need for black box, or wiring old deck in the trunk, and no need to run an aditional 12v acc line to the deck from the fuse box. Now when i was sodering the harness wire to the deck harness, theres the ilumination wire on both, i didnt bother with it, what does it do? just control the diming of the deck when my headlights are on? second one was the remote wire, the factory harness has a wire remote, i didnt bother with it as ill just run a seperate wire like i had done in my sunfire, but that remote wire from the factory harness, where does it go? lol
uhuh, well my car doesnt have an antena, its in the windsheild,, but other then that, where the does the wire go, where do they install factory amps?

If you hooked up the new deck to the speaker wires and got sound without connecting that wire then you don't have a factory amp. I would be surprised if any Optra came with a factory amp.
The wire could literally go to nowhere. The harness at the deck is generic, it does not always reflect the options of the vehicle.

yaa sound comes out from all speakers, the factory speakers are actully pretty good, a nice bass response from them, and if i set a HPF setting lets say 80hz, the sound is perfect out of em, so probably just put in a 12" sub in the back with an amp should be fine, this will be quite a cut from my last setup, seperat amps for subs and front\rear speakers. I dont wanna lose too much room in the hatch so im thinking of mounting the amp under one of the seats, the passenger seat would be nice but running a cable for the sub to the back isint ideal, or i could try with the back seat maybe theres and area i can find there and mount it under. id be able to leave amp in all year round and take the sub out when winter comes around..
6 1\2, front and back,, anyone got a sub recomendation, my box allowes about 6.5" deep i believe,, not 100% but no more then 7 thats for sure.. i got a pionneer in right now,, pounds but the cone has a crack in the middle to an outter edge and if i push it too loud,, sound gets distorted, i wanna get the box i have, perfect fit for my car right now, and my amp has more then enough power, i got 720watts rms, bridged at 2ohms,, so pretty much anything is avail, i looked at some pioneer subs, some look good, no clue for sound and also alpine, had my mind set for a type r, but i doubt it fits in the box,, i know type s fits, but s is junk. anything else???
no no, just one,, i got a box for 2, but takes too much room, ok please clarify this for me, SQ = sound quality, whats SPL, like just to be very loud and all? if so no, just SQ, i want good sound for me,,, budget,, lets say tight but open to ideas,, ill just work couple extra hours here and there, and i no time ill have it....
