Quick update, I decided to do a little test. I changed my ground location to the floor instead of the jack rack (spot welded) and instead of running @ 1 ohms now i am at 4. I adjusted the gain for the new load and guess what same problem... the sae-1000d is rated at 300w@4ohms, in theories the current load should have been less than when i run it at 1000w@1ohm right?

Does someone knows if the 2002 Dodge Caravan is unibody, should i run a 1/0 for the ground too?

For me car audio used to be fun, not anymore. This problem is driving me mad mad mad + crazy!

it is a unibody. and its actually a dodge ram frame under it. i dont know where you get all your noise from lol i have none whats so ever in my 02. i did big 3 in 1/0 and my amp is ( sadly ) bolted to an existing bolt

at 1000watts rms at 1ohm i hardly get any dimming and no noise.

that sux man sorry to hear that your still having these issues

I dont have noise issue but i was just wondering if my ground's the problem bc i have the same voltage drop with the 1/0 that i used to have with the 4awg.

Can you tell me where the bolt that you used is located?

Thanks for the info

just a note, cut to the chase and run a 1/0 ground straight from the battery, voltage drop will be less...

05 matrix
80amp alt. pos and neg 1/0
jbl 75.4 and 1201.1

What ill do is get the box/amp out and plug it directly to the batt and run some test. If it's good then ill run 1/0 for the ground.
