Hey guys, I have been working on a friends 1990 Nissan Pathfinder. Took the front door panel off, looks like a 4x6 mounted to a plastic spacer, no problems there. In the back, above each rear wheelwell, there are plastic enclosures that look like they contain 6x9's. Anyone know how to remove them, or get access to the speakers? From looking at them, it doesn't look like the grills pop off. Thanks for the help.....

You will see a seam at the top that goes all around the speaker box, just pull up, it pops off. They fit 6x9's. Up front you can fit a nice set of 6.5" round speakers with a 2.75" or less depth.

Thanks for the info guys, will try to pop the top off. It did not look like I could mount a 6.5" with that much depth up front, without making a spacer ring. Will look again, thanks!

should beable to fix the 6.5s in there.

I did, but had to make spacers because they were to deep(think it was 3 or so inches deep).
