1996 porsche 911 carrera
Ever consider getting rid of the back seats in that thing? My dad has a 1981 and there isn't much space for anything anywhere. He has 2 8's in the trunk but you can't hear them at all when the car is driving......
I wanna grab that car off him and take out the back seats, then put some 12's or 15's in it
Otherwise, maybe a GOOD pair of 8's up in the trunk??

a) its not my car, so taking out the back seats isnt an option.
b) 8's or 10's in the cabin is the whole point...its a porsche...tell me where im gonna fit them.
Sorry guys, I was kinda looking for opinions from the other installers on here...terry, shaughn, tim, paul, dereck??

Ok I'm not an installer but I know someone who put 6x9's in the rear deck of a Porsche 911 Targa, you might be able to squeeze a pair of 8's in there. Other than that, My dad has custom door pods with 6.5's 4's and tweets, sounds good.
This isn't an original idea, I've seen it before in a 996 chassis 911.
4 Focal 5WS mini subs.
I'm not sure how it would work in the 993 Chassis. They changed the entire subframe structure in the Carrera between the 2 models. Which of course, changes the entire engine area.

I've seen articles in the past with what I am sure was subs under the rear seats. Is there not a kick-up there and the seat bottoms on top of it? Not sure if there is a cavity under the rear seat or just a raised floor pan which would then mean fiberglass boxes made to fit outside the car underneath and then cut a hole in the floor under the seat for the woofer.
