2 ohm component speaker wiring
Hey Guys,
I have a set of 2 ohm infinity kappa components and a 2 channel, 4 ohm (2ohm stable bidgeable) kicker amp. What is the proper way to wire the components to the amp, to run a 2 ohm load?
Any advice is appreciated!

So your saying just wire each set of components to a channel each as normal and the amp will detect a 2 ohm load and run at 2 ohms? I never new that was possible, I thought in order to change the normal running ohm rating your had to wire in parallel or series.
Thanks

the amp's load is determined by the impedance on it. The Kappa components are already engineered at 2ohms so that's the load the amplifier will "see". You can manipulate multiple speakers to deliver a final load impedance to an amp, but in this case it's very straight froward, one speaker each side (one speaker essentially since you're hooked up through a passive crossover that then splits the signal). Virtually all modern car audio amps are 2ohm stable in stereo operation, so your speaker's will work perfectly with that amp.
