2002 Cavalier
Ok, i just went to best buy and found out that my new car, a 2002 cavalier has a computer system that runs through the deck. As a result the install is very different. If anyone knows the specific details on this, i would love to know. Especially if you know where i could get it done cheap. Thanks for any help.
There's no computer system that runs through the deck, no air bag,no """nothing"". the only thing different is that to power on, they use class 2 wiring (data signal) compare to 12v acc from other car. So you only need a standard wiring harness Metra 70-2003 or 70-2002 or Scosche GM-05 and find a acc signal ( AC or wiper fuse)

you are half way there my friend
i am happy to say that yes the airbag and all the other goofy crap that i have heard in relation to unpluging the fct head is not true
however you do stand to loose that beutifull
door chime and the dealer wont be able to read
diagnostic codes on the radio display he will have to do it the old fash way
you do however have to run an ign wire to the
dash from the collum for the head.
