2006 civic install Qs!!

Girlfriend looks at me and says "I want boom boom in my trunk!"

Fair enough!

Question 1: Does the OEM deck have an RCA out put or will I be forced to purchase a god awful converter?

Question 2: Keeping SQ in mind, if I should need a converter, what are GOOD choices?

thanks all

If your going to change the deck look into getting an OEM flaceplate from 06+ Civic/ CSX with the Navi option.

No it doesn't have Pre-outs......but I'm guessing ur G/F isn't an audiophile by the whole "boom boom" thing, ur not gonna get any kind of SQ to begin with 'cause of ur stock deck, so any $30 LOC is gonna do the trick 4 her.

there is a problem with some of the loc's if you wire the amp to ign the most horrible noise comes out of the amplifed speakers ...... but there is a remote turnon wire on the back of that hu. you really should use that if your going with a loc. the other option is using a audiocontrol lc6 and it will also give you a lpl wich is a very nice feature give your gf the controll of how much sub level she will get

I have a 4 ch LOC bought at bestbuy for 39.95. It's called "Install Edge" made by Rockford. It worked.

Then i replaced the factory deck so i could begin to get some SQ.
So, if you want it, send me a 20.00 bill and i'll mail it to you.

New deck is not an option. I can't even imagine what kind of install materials are needed for that. Anyone have a CDN price on the Audiocontrol Lc6?

I will HAVE to be driving this car in about 18 months so the SQ HAS to be acceptable to me. lol

thx all

Dont rule out switchin' head units. We sell the 06 civic kit for $75, harness adapter for $15 so it'd be cheaper then buying that LOC if u already have a cd player

Don't have a deck kickin' around, no. And I really think the install kit will take away from the oem look of the dash, which would rot me & the woman totally. I still haven't talked to her about the LOC @ an extra $200, but we'll see. lol
