2007 Pacifica - JL Audio system
I have a 2007 Pacifica, took out the Infinity system and installed:
HU: Pioneer AVH P5200BT DVD
Amp #1:
JL Audio XD 600/6
600W x 6 channels
front doors: JL C2 650, 6.5" 2 way components
Back doors: JL C2 650X, 6.5" coaxials
Dash center Kicker 3.5
Amp #2:
JL Audio XD 600/1
600W monoblock 2 ohms
subs:
2 x 10" JL 10w1v2-4
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am not sure on amp#1 wich channels installer bridged and now it's working as 5 channels...I assume he bridged the front speakers...
I keep blowing the speakers and soon the warranty is out, need to change something as I like to listen to it very loud...but by doing so I don't want to loose quality sound.
I want to change the whole configuration and maybe add the 4 Infinity speakers that came with the car...
I was thinking to move the back door speakers and add them to front doors (each door will have 2 speakers), than install the 4 Infinity speakers to the back doors.
would that help at all?
or what else can I do?
later I want to built side boxes in the back and somehow put them in the walls for the subs...right now they are in a regular double box and it takes my whole space behind the back seats...any ideas how I can do that?
....ohhh the whole vehicle (every inch) is sound proof with Dynamat extreme
any ideas would be apreciated
More speakers won't help as much as you might think....if you can live without the center channel get the installer to disconnect it, bridge the front four channels to your front comps and run the rears off the other 2 channels.
This will bring a lot more sound closer to your ears and should be very noticeable.....adding back all those Infinitys might get you marginally louder over-all but the SQ will take a dive.....
